Los Planetas
Los planetas son cuerpos esféricos que giran alrededor del sol, prácticamente en el mismo plano, no emitan luz propia y sus orbitas están libres de otros cuerpos. En esta categoría están Mercurio, Venus, Tierra, Marte, Júpiter, Saturno, Urano, Neptuno y la luna mas grande de Saturno: Titán.
Los Planetas Enanos
Son cuerpos que giran alrededor del Sol. También poseen forma esférica como los anteriores pero sus orbitas son extraordinariamente elípticas y están fuera del plano del Sistema Solar. Se formaron en un proceso distinto al de los otros planetas y se llaman Plutón, Ceres y otros cuerpos como el recién descubierto Xena.
Cuerpos pequeños del Sistema Solar: cometas, la mayoría son asteroides y otros pequeños cuerpos.
The Planets
Our Solar System is made up of the sun, eight planets, three dwarf planets, moons and other planets that orbit the sun. These other objects include comets, asteroides and meteoroides.
Planets are round; they orbit the sun. Moons orbit planets. A dwarf planets is small and round; they orbit the sun. Comets are balls made of ice, rock and gases.
Asteroides are large, chuncks of rock and metal. Meteoroides are smaller chuncks of rock and metal, they can be as small as dust or as large as boulders.
